Life has been quite routine lately. Set off to work at 6pm then worked and worked and worked until 4.30pm, took the company bus to Jurong East MRT and then took a train home. Back at home at about 5.30pm, went jogging and have dinner after it. Watched Tongxin yuan on channel 8 then proceed to my 1 hour a day guitar practise regime. Did my prayer walk at about 9pm, then stoned until sleeping time.... Everyday the same for the past few days.....It's not that it's boring, but it's just a bit routine and predictable. Kinda sianz oledi.
Forerunner Meta Worship practise
Last nite, we had a worship set practise at apollos room at GCTC. The band consist of 75% of Ezra's room production team, so it was easy for us to gel together. Simon our worship leader is still in his "Green" mission trip...and so, Pat the band leader led us with his arrangement of the songs.
We have 3 fast songs and 3 slow songs to do for this set. We nailed the fast songs down quite fast last nite as each of us spent efforts to work on our own individual parts. We did 1 of the slower song last nite too. I think generally worship songs are quite eazy to do as they normally aren't too fanciful...I am speaking as an Eguitarist point of view lah. The circular songs that we did in Forerunner sometimes can be much more challenging to do.
Yeah!!This is another time that i can share the stage with my mentor Pat. He'll be playing Eguit and Aguit for this set. Recalling, we shared the stage together for only 2 occasions in my days in FR. Once was the GCTC graduation which Simon led worship, Mike on Drum, Pat on Bass, Me on Egui, Dotz on Key and Sharon, Joy on Vocal. Another time was in Woodland free evangelical church when Pat gave lessons on Attitudes of music minister where we did an acoustic worship.
After the practise, Pat drove me to Yew Tee MRT when en route, he was showing me some driving techniques like how to brake in a way to eliminate enertia, also how to do "bao Jia (Hokkien mean sure eat)" filter lane. Cool!!!
