Scene from the memory!!!
It has been quite some time since i have last blogged. Many things happened for the past few days. Some exciting, some depressing. However on the whole, i was feeling very depress but after toking to Pat, i felt uplifted and began to see lite at the end of the tunnel.
Scoring with my past!!!
Went for a soccer game with my secondary school friends on boxing day morning. Wow, it has been quite some time since we all last met. Everyone grew up and is either studying or starting career. It was fun time catching up with them. But the most fun time was that i scored 5 goals in our 9-1 win against each other. Haha...old sword haven't get old har....hee!!!I was always the goal netted since we were young playing at the age of 14-15...Now that we are mostly half-past 20s...Some things never changed har...hee
But many has changed. We used to do alot of crazy things together: Steal bicycles, gang fighting, catch-spider, shoot marble, gamble soccer, gamble poker and mahjong, disturb gals and alot of stuffs that ah beng will do, we did it all...God was gracious to some of us who have made it to university despite been quite a juvenile, some wasn't so....two of us actually were in drug Rehab centre...sad!!! Those who din made it to uni, most of them signed on army....and they were the guys who seems to be well-off now....driving cars, mod cars and stuffs...it was like a car parade man...it makes many of us(uni student) envied them and asked ourselves why are we studying so hard for....Adrian was commenting that it was those who cant study, are driving cars now!!!
But not all of them were well-off...Some of them were quite pathetic lah...One of them actually got bankrupt and is now working as an electrician in semb ship yard earning less than 1K monthly.
We rockZZZZ Uni Meta
Yeah!! Bangster band made our debut unofficially in meta uni when we performed a few numbers for TURT publicity. We did songs like: My sacrifice - Creed, Drive - Incubus, Found - Bangster band....We almost did Indemnified but Sindric(our imported front man) couldn't pull it off. It was really fun as we got to perform our song lah...But it was kind of last minute as Dotz called us up only 1 day before...and i have to spent the whole nite catching the guitar part for the creed song.
Overall, it's exciting and i really appreciate Dotz for inviting us down...Yeah man!!!She was so supportive to us the whole gig...thank you Dotty dot!!!
Void's last dance!!!
Void did our last gig finally on the 28th. It was cool lah as we refreshed our repertiore. We did the exact same set as poly meta. The audience love it and i was glad to see many familiar faces in the crowd. Many were my science crusade friends.
Before the gig, pat came to me and said that i was not there to prove myself but to play for the grace of God...it eased my turmoil i felt before that particular gig.
Meta Worship
Wow...it was wonderful to play with Pat on the same platform again, also as 75% of Bangster band and also for worship leader and forerunner director simon. The fast songs were exciting!!! Dinno that Simon can jump onstage man despite he was suffering from gastric problems....The whole congregation was jumping to the beat anywhere. Forerunner rockzzz big time again.
However so, we made many mistakes lah...like half of the band modulated while half dun!!!haha!!! Lack of practise lah....We were all so buzy with other schedule and hence this worship wasn't the top of our priority list lah....okok, no excuses for the mistakes....but i think we made a good worship team leh!!! So cool...William is really an excellent musician and he really earned my respect man....our perfect pitch guy!!!
It was very very uplifting as once again i witness the work of God as many came up to kneel infront of the stage during ministry time. It was really as if i was standing on Holy ground!!! Actually, i was myself been ministered too.....God is good...How can i not want Him!!!
I met Johnnathan, an old fren after the worship....so glad to see him...miss the time when we used to jam with jason on the bass....Ohh man!!!
